About Izaac
With a master’s in Public Interest Technology and a background in business and innovation studies from Arizona State University, I bring a unique blend of analytical expertise, rhetorical acumen, and a deep passion for ethical technology development. It is my mission to help organizations navigate emerging technologies responsibly, ensuring their products and services align with societal needs and Public Interest Technology principles.
I was born and raised in the metro Phoenix area and currently work on the Dreamscape Learn project at Arizona State University, where I help operationalize VR-based curricula. I’m also the Principal of IOM Strategies, a consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Public interest technology works to ensure technology is designed, deployed, and regulated in a way that protects and improves the lives of people, centering values of equity, inclusion, and accountability where the public interest is at stake.”
Public Interest Technologists work across disciplinary boundaries to develop and deploy technology that is responsive to the public interest and societal needs. Arizona State University is a member university of the PIT University Network, a consortium of universities and foundations that have committed to the development of curricula, working groups, and research agendas that “seek to prepare civic-minded technologists and leaders.” According to their founding definition, Public Interest Technology “refers to the study and application of technology expertise to advance the public interest/generate public benefits/promote the public good.” ASU’s Master of Science in Public Interest Technology program, housed within the innovative College of Global Futures, is one of the first degree pathways of its kind.
I am a Public Interest Technologist, and I work with innovators across disciplines to help them develop and deploy technology that is responsive to the public interest.
As a graduate from the College of Global Futures and the W.P. Carey School of Business, I have a strong multidisciplinary background in computer science, public policy, and business strategy. During my time at ASU, I have participated in multidisciplinary research projects focused around topics including but not limited to: the evolution and safety of self-driving cars, claims of sustainability within the synthetic biology industry, blockchain-based microcredentialing, and public engagement in Dutch and US-based technology assessment. During the first year of my graduate program, I had the privilege to study science and technology policy under ASU President Dr. Michael Crow, Dr. Derrick Anderson, and Dr. David Guston. In my second year, I travelled to the Netherlands to better understand the Dutch approach to technology assessment work. In May 2023, I successfully completed my thesis project, titled Enhancing Impact: Comparing Strategies for Technology Assessment in the U.S. and Netherlands. Today, I am responsible for operationalizing Dreamscape Learn’s virtual reality curricula at ASU’s Polytechnic campus and am the Principal of IOM Strategies, a consulting firm currently based in Phoenix, Arizona.
